While watching the tears flow from delegate after delegate in Cancun for the 2010 United Nations climate change strategy conference, it was hard to believe these meetings had been happening since Kyoto in 1990 and yet the stories of unprecedented loss and suffering right across the world continue to escalate. I'm rarely emotional, ask anyome, but it often brought tears to my eyes. There were times when my heart felt so overwhelmed like when seeing the pleas of the smallest pacific island nations such as Tuvalu left me crying outright.
